Education activity can be carried out by using online technology. These alternative activities can be channeled by carrying out a primer design using software PerPrimer and on the COI gene. Primer-BLAST The COI gene (cytochrome oxidase subunit I) is one of the genes in mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) that can be used for genetic markers to make it easier to study characteristics between species and individuals. The purpose of this research is to apply online technology in molecular biology learning using PerlPrimer software and Primer-BLAST feature on the NCBI site to find out how to get the best primary sequences. The method used to design primers and perform comparisons perlprimer by downloading fasta on the COI Diasporus diastema gene from GenBank: KT186586 which was selected in the NCBI database (The National Center for Biotechnology Information). The results obtained using Primer-BLAST feature on the NCBI site are more recommended to get the best primary design compared to using PerlPrimer software.</em></p> ER -
