Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines For July 2023

Submissions are always welcome; there is no deadline. Authors should follow these guidelines in preparing articles for submissions:

1. IJET: Indonesian Journal of English Teaching does not accept previously published articles (print or online).    

2. A title page with the full title of the paper (no more than 16 words), the author(s) name(s), affiliation(s), and e-mail address of the corresponding author are included in the manuscript. Submissions should be 4000-7000 words (including abstract, table(s), figure(s), and references) in A4 format with the following margins: top 3 cm, bottom 3 cm, right 2.5 cm, and left 4 cm. The font is Times New Roman, size 12, with single spaces between lines. The following sections should be included in the article: introduction, method, results, and conclusion (For Field research) OR introduction, theoretical review, and conclusion (for conceptual papers).

3. The process of peer review may take 2-6 months.

4. Authors should use the template provided by us and meet the formatting requirements outlined in the author guidelines:  Journal Template for Field research  Template for Conceptual Review

5. The title size for tables is 12 and the content size is 10. Please number the tables sequentially throughout your article, and place the title above the table. The title size for Figures is 12 and the content size (if any) is 10. Please number the figures sequentially throughout your article, and include the title below each figure.

6. Authors should use Zotero or Mendeley reference manager
 
7. Referencing and citation style: APA 7th Edition.
 The author must ensure that 85 % of the references cite reputable sources and journal articles.
All references should be cited on the body of the articles
The author must ensure that all references is recently published ( in the last 10 years)
 
8. It is the responsibility of the author to obtain permission for the use of any copyrighted material, including images, sound, and video files. It is preferable to place images directly in the text but, when permission is unobtainable, it is acceptable to include a link to the image directly in the text. An acknowledgment will be sent indicating that the paper has been received.
