About the Journal

IJET (Indonesian Journal of English Teaching) is an educational journal for English language teachers, lecturers, university professors, and others who work with school-aged or university students, teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL), English as a Second Language (ESL), English for Specific Purposes, or English for Academic Purposes.

IJET (Indonesian Journal of English Teaching) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published biannually by the Department of English Teacher Education, UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. The journal is committed to ensuring that each issue contains a blend of voices, including public and private school educators from the elementary, middle, high school, madrasah, and university perspectives.

This journal is abstracted and indexed by Google Scholar, Garuda, Moraref and Indonesia One Search (IOS), BASE (Bielefeld Academic Search Engine) and has been accredited by National Journal Accreditation (ARJUNA) Managed by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, The Republic of Indonesia in the Fourth Grade of Sinta (Sinta 4) since May 2019 according to the decree No. B/1410/E5/E5.2.1/2019

IJET (Indonesian Journal of English Teaching) seeks richly described interpretive accounts:

  1. English Education and Teaching in schools, madrasah, and higher education
  2. Problems faced by Teachers and Lecturers in Teaching English language subjects in schools, madrasahs, universities, or pesantren (Islamic Boarding Houses)
  3. Innovations in Teaching English language subjects in schools, universities, or pesantren
  4. Thoughts on English Education (research, conceptual ideas, library research, or practical experiences)

The language of the manuscript must be in English and written based on the Author's Guidelines. The manuscript can be sent via IJET’s website: http://jurnalftk.uinsby.ac.id/index.php/IJET/index (registration is required using a personal email address).
